The first-year students’ difficulties in using English unlimited textbooks at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy: Reality and Solutions

Evaluation of the curriculum plays an important role in the training process, helping users to determine whether the syllabus meets the proposed objectives; it can simultaneously help teachers improve their professional capacity. The assessment is considered an important component in most foreign language programs, especially English, for teachers and learners. Currently, the syllabus is still the most used document in foreign classes, serving as the heart of a training program, providingthe necessary input for learners through diverse activities for four skills. It is clear that the training program will not bring results without a syllabus. The use of the curriculum can ensure that students in all grades at the same level will be taught the same content. Therefore,in this studywe can betterunderstandEnglishLimitedcurriculumby examiningthe use of students.This study focuses onidentifyingthe difficulties the first-yearstudents at ThaiNguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy (TUMP) have to face in using English Limited textbook. Questionnaires were chosen as the main data collecting instruments in this study. The participants were 55 the first-year students at TUMP. This study is really significant because it helps students find out their weaknesses in using English Limited textbook.
