Tên bài báo Reading comprehension performance of the first year students: basis for proposed reading enhancement program 
Tóm tắt This study was conducted to determine the reading comprehension level of the first year students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry for the academic year 2020-2021. The subjects of the study were 299 first-year students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry in the second semester school year 2020-2021. The study employed the descriptive correlational method of research. The descriptive component of the study revolved around determining the profile, the overall level of reading comprehension performance and level of reading comprehension performance along three genres. The findings showed that the reading comprehension performance of the first year students of TUAF is at the lower thinking skills and therefore they are incapable of demonstrating higher order thinking skills such as evaluation and integration Based on these findings, some implications for improving and developing English reading skill of students were suggested and recommendations were made for further research.
